Quetico Provincial Park is a vast wilderness area adjacent to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness across the Canadian Border in Ontario. With more than a million acres and 2,000 lakes, Quetico is world-famous for its pristine beauty, rocky shores and virgin pine forests. Quetico Provincial Park offers spectacular canoeing, fishing and hiking. Anglers will find outstanding fishing for smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike and lake trout in many of the lakes.
Most of the Quetico is only accessible by canoe routes. Quetico offers 2,200 backcountry campsites located throughout the park. Campsites can be reserved through the Ontario Parks Reservation Service. All US visitors to Quetico must pass through Canada Customs.
Canadian Waters Outfitters offers popular Quetico canoe trips with starting points at Mudro Lake in the BWCA and Prairie Portage located on North Bay of Basswood Lake.
