We have always felt that one of the most important parts of our business is our canoe trip outfitting service. When trying to decide on a route, what equipment you might want, what type of trip you are looking for, or just general questions about the area, our feeling has always been that personal contact is far better than trying to fill out some lengthy form to try and explain what you are looking for. Therefore, we encourage our customers to use our 800 number to call and discuss their proposed canoe trip. This not only saves time, it also allows us and our potential customers to get to know one another better. When you call, you won’t get an answering machine. You will actually get a live person – Dan, Cathy, or Ryan Waters – to answer your questions and discuss your plans with you. When you arrive in Ely we will thoroughly brief you on your trip. For a repeat customer this may only take a few minutes. For someone who has never been here before it can mean spending an hour or more going over all of the details of camping in this wilderness area, including marking waterproof maps with our favorite campsites, fishing holes and Indian pictographs. We use both W.A. Fisher and McKenzie maps to help you plan your route. What this all comes down to is this – we believe there is no substitute for good old-fashioned customer service!
